So I downloaded the demo as soon as it was released and eagerly installed
it, after playing through the mission and reaching the end I thought is that
it?

I've downloaded 400Mb and this is the pitiful amount you get to play? Wtf!
This will never sell the game!! :(

However, three days later and 4 times through the demo I realised that if
you click on "end mission" at the end you go onto the proper demo and leave
the tutorial (something I hadn't done).

Ah, yes well there it is the Thief DS stupidity test and I passed.

LOL! That's hilarious :D

Don't feel bad, though. I must've spent close to ten minutes trying to pick
that first lock in the tutorial before I got the gist of it. Now it takes
me a matter of seconds to pick a lock, but man, did I feel like a half-wit
not figuring it out at first...

I too wasted lots of time with hassling the lock pick, rolling
the pin around the circle with mouse and trying to find the
"weak spots" of the lock.

Then my bro told me that all I have to do is press the "strafe
left/right" buttons in turns - and look at that, most locks
open in few seconds using that method...
