What is max C drive limit in the Inspiron 6000 and can a 500gb hdd be partitioned to make it accessible like that?

In the old days there was a software 'Bios-Ovelay' on the HDD manufacturer's website available to over come such a problem.

If this is what I think it is, the 6000 is a 15" laptop. That computer uses PATA drives ( not SATA), so I think the max drive size is the WD 320 2.5". I have a 6000 and still use it occasionaly, it was a nice laptop in its day.

You might be stuck partitioning the C drive at about 120 Gig for the boot partition, but I might be wrong about that.
