Hello, I'm trying to build a computer using msi x58-pro-e and i7 930. i wonder if its okay to use only 2gb ddr3 of ram in one stick?

Triple memory just just allow accessing by the CPU to all 3 RAM stick at the same time. But it is not a must if you only plan for 1 x 2GB DDR3 RAM. It is enough to get your i7 930 & MSI x58 going.
