Hi... I have samsung 160GB hard disk installed in my desktop however my pc is unable to detect the hard disk installed in PC. I checked with engineer and he told me that media is alright but card cannot be repaired. I just wantef to know whether only card is available in market for hard disk or I have to buy the new hard disk???

yes its a sata hard disk drive. I tried to get repair the card but few refused to do so and few couldn't repair it. So i have last option to buy the new hard disk drive. can i get the only card in market or samsung sells only card of hard disk??

Check ebay for a system board for your drive. Make sure you get it for the exact same model as your drive.

It's called a system board. Can't do any searches for you because you did not list any info about the drive to do so.

There is one system board listed but it's more expensive than the drives. You are better off getting a board off a used drive.

It's in my post, to ebay. Or just go to ebay and search for your brand and model # of drive, you will see the same thing.
