Need help..... my internal PC fan is extremely noisy Tags: Optiplex Fan Components Last response: April 24, 2010 5:02 AM in Components Share True Colors April 24, 2010 4:58:10 AM I have a Dell PC..... an Optiplex GX280. When i first turn it on the fan is audible, but not terrible. However, when I try to run anything the fan will kick into maximum overdrive. It sounds like a damn jet plane takeoff. It sounds like it is spinning extremely fast and it is also extremely loud. Is there something I can do about this? Can I change the settings so that it will not spin so fast? Also, can I do something to make it less noisy? Is there some way to lubricate these things? Its difficult to know what the problem is. If you familiarize yourself with your system and pass on some info and the cause of the noise, that would be very helpfull. | Report abuse Ask the community Publish Tom's Hardware>Forum>Components>Need help..... my internal PC fan is extremely noisy> Related ressources: ForumNoisy Chipset Fan - NF7-S ForumSounds of Silencers Are Loud and Clear: PCs Are Too Noisy ForumAre Raptors noisy ??
