Hello, I was wondering if I get a 660 can I overclock it to be a 660 Ti? Or is there more to Ti other then the overclock?
For one it has considerably more CUDA cores.
1344 CUDA cores.http://www.geforce.co.uk/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-660/specifications
960 CUDA cores.
You would need a MASSIVE OC to reach a GTX660ti. Which will only be possible on very high-end cooling.
The GTX660 ti also uses the same PCB as the GTX680 and GTX670, it is only heavily crippled with a smaller memory interface, less CUDA cores and one polymorph engine disabled for a total of 7 ploymorph engine(The GTX680 and GTX670 has 8).
Whereas the GTX660 uses a totally different chip that only has 5 polymorph engines.
