A: Drive Error

Last response: in Windows XP

Hi all,

I'm currently getting a message at boot up which reads A: Drive Error and an option to enter F1 to enter BIOS or F2 to continue. F2 continues it fine but it's a bit annoying turning the machine on and having to wait until it beeps.

Does anyone know how to get rid of it?

Thanks Ktownmike.

I tried that but I'm still getting the error.

Well, I say that I tried. The priorities didn't have letters but the floppy drive was first. Floppy used to be A: I think, and there isn't a floppy installed so I guessed that was the problem and moved it too the bottom. But I still get the error. I've now got CD followed by hard drive.
