Hi all,

I'm currently getting a message at boot up which reads A: Drive Error and an option to enter F1 to enter BIOS or F2 to continue. F2 continues it fine but it's a bit annoying turning the machine on and having to wait until it beeps.

Does anyone know how to get rid of it?

Check boot order in bios and move a: to the bottom of the list

Thanks Ktownmike.

I tried that but I'm still getting the error.

Well, I say that I tried. The priorities didn't have letters but the floppy drive was first. Floppy used to be A: I think, and there isn't a floppy installed so I guessed that was the problem and moved it too the bottom. But I still get the error. I've now got CD followed by hard drive.

If there is no floppy drive in the system, go into the bios and disable the floppy controller. This will get rid of the error.

Brilliant. That fixed it. Also got rid of the welcome screen so now it boots up fully without having to be there.
