I need to buy a gaming RAM and i am between two options;

CORSAIR CMX4GX3M2A1600C9 XMS3 (2x2 4gb) PC3-12800 and

CORSAIR CMZ4GX3M2A1600C9B VENGEANCE 4GB (2X2GB) PC3-12800

so which is better for gaming?

Hi there,

Personally I have 12GB of the XMS3 RAM, I've overclocked it, downclocked it, pissed around with the ratio's and honestly the difference to gaming and almost everything else I use my PC for makes a minimal, if not zero difference. I'm a photographer so I use Photoshop and HDR processes etc, very RAM/CPU heavy processes. It really is irrelevant which brand you go for. They are both good sets of RAM and will serve you well. They will NOT make any difference to gaming that is measurable in FPS or loading times etc at all regardless how fast it is or how much RAM you have all in all :)  Don't worry about your RAM. It's all about the CPU and GPU :D

Hope this helps

For gaming, there is no difference.
