Hi! I already have a TWIN2X2048-8500C5D kit (2x1gb) and now I want to buy a TWIN2X4096-8500C5DF kit (2x2gb + fan).
My TWIN2X2048-8500C5D now works at 1066mhz.
If I use TWIN2X2048-8500C5D with the TWIN2X4096-8500C5D, they will continue to work at 1066mhz and in dual channel mode?

Mmm tricky question. Ill go and check the website of the memory and compare the voltages, cas, tras and other timings. If all the timings and voltages are the same, then YES it will work. If not they will give you hell like BSOD and random system crashes.

Hope this helps....

i went and looked at the module specs. Depending on your motherboard. These modules should run @ 1066, if your motherboard handle such speeds.

If it does then all the modules WILL run @ 1066mhz if you configure it in the BIOS.

Good luck...
