HELP GIGABYTE GA-H55 pci x16 slot running at x1

I have a GIGABYTE GA-H55 with a Gigabyte GT 250, that's only running at x1 instead of x16 really need help. I'm a noob and please be clear with any instructions

What exactly mobo model do u have? because Gigabyte has many H55 models.

Go to the BIOS and check the PCI-E frequency.

it's just says it's on auto doesn't give a frequency

I set it to 100mhz and Gpu-z still says it's only running at x1

Remove the GPU reset the BIOS and install it again.

dun didn't do anything, I'm just taking it in to be looked at it's still under warranty, my x4 slot runs at x4
