Hi,

I just upgraded my GPU from a GTS 250 (lol) to a GTX 660, and was thinking of OCing my CPU too. It's currently running at stock 2.6Ghz, and I'd probably only OC to 3.6Ghz. I'm a total OC/hardware noob, and like to play it safe. I'm just wondering if it's even worth it for me to OC my cpu? I don't have too much spare time, and am nervous messing with stuff like that. Can anyone estimate what the gaming improvements from this OC would be?

Thanks!

It may help, it may not. It really depends on the game weather it's GPU heavy like BF3 or CPU heavy like Starcraft. In Say, Starcraft you may see some signifigant gains but beware: download something like HWMonitor to keep track of your temps, dont let them stay over about 63C while you are gaming. I reccomend getting an aftermarket CPU cooler.
