Light gaming/Flash/Photoshop dev build ~$500

APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: Next day or so. BUDGET RANGE: 500-ish Before Rebates

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Light gaming (WoW) and Flash/Photoshop development

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers, OS

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: newegg.com, open to other

PARTS PREFERENCES: None

OVERCLOCKING: Maybe SLI OR CROSSFIRE: Maybe

MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1680x1050

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: Not into FPS games or anything too taxing, will play WoW, Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3. Lots of time spent doing Flash dev and in Photoshop.

I would suggest raising your budget to at least $700. For good Photoshop use, you'll need a decent CPU, at least 4GB of RAM (which also means you need to use a 64-bit OS), and at least two hard drives (as required by Photoshop for optimum performance).

Thanks for the reply. I'd love to, but unfortunately I can't go that high. I am willing to go up to around $550 or so for a good value.

@r_manic I do agree that $700 would be a good budget for such a PC, but it can be done in the $500 range too...

Or even better, stick with gkays build, but you could easily get away with a athlon quad for better flash/photoshop performance and a 5670, which can run wow easily
