my 8800gt 512mb idles at 65 (with the fan on 50%) and playing a game for 10 mins it goes to 95 Deg (With the fan on (50%)

Is this safe to run at this tempratures day to day?

Eh... I'd take the cooler off, blow the card, cooler and fan off with some compressed air and re-paste it if you can. Did it ever idle lower?

I bought this as a used card last year and i didnt look at the temprature then.

This is the card im using... by the looks of it you cant take the Cooler off.

You should be able to if you see screws (very small) on the back of the card. 8 or 10 of them if I remember.

I just tried something..

Set up a custom fan profile. At 87 deg the fan goes at 85%... but yet my tempturates went up to 97deg...:S :S

This is doing a 3 lap race on dirt 2 then exiting.
