Memory Stick says its EMPTY when FULL

I have a 4gb memory stick. I have many photos and movies on it, when i tried opening it on another computer it says its a new clean memory stick. What do i do?

Forgot to fill you in. I was in the airport and the usb was in the bag. Could the x rays have damaged it? It doesnt even show up in My Computer, you can open it in auto run tho. So could that ^ have erased everything?

There are plenty of free programs to recover files from memory sticks. Only reformat it after you have recovered everything you can. I've used rescue pro but i dont recall if I downloaded it or if it came with my drive.
