Why would two different Wpad's have the same BSSID but different network names? I suspect I was hacked. key name Marino-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Wpad\{4D6A3413-0174-4D1A-86F3-DFD499BE98F0} key name YoMama-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Wpad\{4D8F6C69-573C-471C-816C-2EB5CB2DDFC4} BOTH have the following BSSID-00-22-75-73-06-1b How is this possible???

im not too familiar with this field, but is it possible that your on a shared network and somebody else on your network has access to your wpad via their machine? other than that, I would say it is being accessed by a hacker, yes.

sorry for the double post, but you should possibly try running a registry scan. I'm once again not sure what the best is, but I personally use Eusing Free Registry Cleaner. Just run the scan and see if that registry code is in the list of registry errors.

Thanks Mindxless. No worries.. no one really knows the answer- it's a strange one. Although I spoke with a friend and he told me to connect the lap top to the router and see if there is a network with the name in question. There was. This person that I thought hacked me set up the router. I changed the name of the network and didn't understand why the old SSID would show up- ever! In the event logger under networking, the old network name showed up. I'm going to go look on my desk top now and try to figure out why there is a home network with that name. For all intensive purposes, there should not be. Although it gives me an explaination for now. :)
