How do I find & insert system disk on my desktop?

I turn on my desktop computer, it's got all this technical info I don't understand on a black screen, a flashing cursor at the bottom left side with the error message says "Disk Boot Failure, Insert System Disk and Press Enter" How do I fix it.. I hope its the right SUB section.. Not sure..

Go into the BIOS and make sure the hard-drive is seen there, and is selected in the boot order section. If it's not there, open up the PC and re-seat the hard-drive connections, try again.

If that does not work you probably have a dead drive and need to buy a new one and re-install Windows on that.
