How does water cooling work?

Does anyone know how a water cooling system works?

  3. In a nutshell, water travels through the CPU block, absorbs the heat that comes off the CPU and keeps moving through to a radiator, where the heat is then transferred to the air and is blown away like a normal heatsink.

    That sticky Friedman posted should have all your answers and will go in a lot more detail than I would be able to.
