Please help - Intel Core i3 a good one?

I'm considering to buy the Sony Vaio VPCEB1J1E/WI, this one has an Intel Core i3 >> I have no idea about this.

Is this a good one? I guess it's better then the Core 2 Duo, am I right?

The T9XXX he is referring to is the Core™ 2 Duo T9000 series of processors, which are the AFAIK second highest end mobile Intel dual-core CPUs, behind the Core™ 2 Duo Extreme X9000 and right behind the T9000 is the P9000 series. The Q means quad for the Core™ 2 Quad mobile series.
