I have a shared partition of windows 7 and windows XP. My younger brother tried to uninstall windows XP from our computer and instead of using the cd and removing it properly, he deleted the files from the hard disk. Now not only does windows XP not work, the drive is corrupt. How do I fix it?..

Deleting the files should not have corrupted the drive, what exactly is happening?
