  1. I would have to chose the G.Skill.
Lower voltage than both and lower latency than the Ballistix, so it may have a little more OC head room.
  2. None of those ram kits.Fast ram that is compatible with most air cooler installs.Pi's are nice but way too tall 53mm.
    Mushkin Enhanced Redline 6GB CL6 40mm tall.-$179.99

  3. Hmm thanks davcon and dirtyjuice, the Heatsink i have selected is quite big as well as when the fans are included... reasonably priced.. I think ive found my ram :) .. unless better ram is suggested?
  4. What heatsink are you planning on running?
  5. Sweet, I almost bought one but I ended up getting the Prolimatec Megahalems and 2 Cooler Master Blade Master fans.

My personal favorites are {Corsair, G.SKILL. Mushkin, & Kingston}; in that order for 1366 rigs. Mushkin can be problematic to configure. The 1866 will yield +4-8 FPS extra over the 1600.

  8. It is great I paired it with a couple of
    Cooler Master fans

and couldnt be happier. My i7 860@4ghz Idle is 32c-34c 100% load it is 68c-70c,
ambient is around 24c. I couldnt be happier.
  9. Thats good to hear dirtyjuice :) :) and Jaquith id consider the 190$ sticks of ram but.. their pretty tall.. wont they get obstruct my cpu cooler? I dont really want to dremel it ahah
  10. No, you won't have any problems they even fit under the CM V10.

What CPU Fan are you thinking about using for your rig? I noticed the Noctua NH-U12P SE2.

    CPU Fan:
    Corsair H50 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835181010&Tpk=Corsair%20H50
    CM V6 GT http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103089&Tpk=coolermaster%20gt
    V6 GT Review {load} - http://www.overclockersclub.com/reviews/cooler_master_v6gt/4.htm

    120MM Fans:
    Scythe S-Flex SFF21G 120mm Case Fan, 75 CFM @ 35 dBA
In general, <30 dBA is considered silent; and any rig I build I use at least 4-Channel fan controller. Extreme systems is prefer Delta fans, but a fan controller is a must with Delta {leaf blowers}. Delta FFB1212EH-F00 120mm Case Fan 150.33 CFM @ 56.4 dBA. The Noctua are indeed good if you can learn to love their color scheme.
  11. I infact quite like the desert camo color scheme they have :) thank you for the input jaquith
  12. ^ Then the Noctua will be perfect!
  13. That it will! :) :)
