Noob At Overclcking Questions

Hello, my friend has recently given me his AMD FX 8120 and was wanting to ask some questions. I heard that it and the 8150 are the same, but the 8150 is just clocked higher which doesn't matter since the cores are unlocked. Is this true and if so, can I overclock the 8120 using amd overdrive (I'm a noob and don't want to mess with bios if I don't have to). I would also like to know what would be a good speed to overclock it with with a stock heatsink and a 750w psu (I have a pretty small case). Thanks for any help.
