The only reason why I ask is the fact that I moved recently back to Texas and I stupidly left the Noctua thermal paste and mounting bracket for the 1156 back in Arizona so I have a 100+ cpu cooler (back when I bought it) with no way to mount it. I looked on amazon (since newegg has no mounting kit) and found this:
My questions are will these allow me to use my Noctua cooler on my cpu, or will they not? If so, are they good enough for a 4.0 overclock on that cpu +HT, or should I scrap the cooler and go for a water solution like the corsair h100i? With the mounting kit and thermal paste, it would be $35 shipped (my fault) or should I suck up the loss and get a new cooler? Thanks on the advice.
