I'm just about to put together the new PC.

Is there any data that shows that adding a second fan to the Hyper 212 EVO is worthwhile?

The idea sounds good but I'm just wondering in practice if it provides a noticeable improvement.

Yes, but not a huge improvement -- it will be around 5C.

I have myself an Hyper 212 Plus with double fan configuration, I am content with the results so far.

I added a second fan to mine, say about 2-3C difference, unless the fan is free or super cheap, I wouldn't recommend getting one UNLESS you are going for crazy overclocks.

Thanks for the info.

When I ordered the 212 I also ordered a fan which promo'd down to about $6. Think I'll see how much space I have and then decide if I use it. Just trying to do modest OC.

I see, just make sure that the higher CFM fan is pushing and the "weaker" fan is pulling.

A second fan will help if you're trying to get the coolest temps. Since you already ordered a second fan, definitely put it on there. Test it out and see for yourself how much it helps.

If the fan you´ve got is weaker than the original fan that comes with the EVO, then it is better not using it.
