DDR2 or DDR3??

Either works well. Buy the kind that works in your motherboard. If you have one of those rare boards that supports both types, get DDR3 - it usually operates at a higher frequency (speed). Get the lowest lowest latencies, e.g., 7-7-7-XX, you can afford.
