APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: Sometime within the next month
BUDGET RANGE: Somewhere under $1000 would be ideal

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: CS4 (Dreamweaver, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), MS Office, Surfing the web

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: All I'm basically looking for is the build. If I can get a monitor and stay in the price range then that's fine. Already have a mouse, keyboard, external speakers.

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: Preferably Newegg

PARTS PREFERENCES: Intel chipset preferred.

OVERCLOCKING: Yes if needed SLI OR CROSSFIRE: Not sure exactly

MONITOR RESOLUTION: n/a

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: Most data use would come from CS4 program, just want to be able to run that smoothly. Multitasking of course.

PARTS ALREADY SELECTED:
Intel X25-M Mainstream SSDSA2M080G2XXX 2.5" 80GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) - OEM

*For OS, CS4 and other programs for faster opening*

Would prefer the Core i5 because the i7 would be a little pricey. Will probably add a Western Digital Harddrive or Fujitsu harddrive to store documents and created works.

Also prefer the option to upgrade to USB 3.0 when it becomes available.

This is my first post here, but I have been browsing for a month or so. I'm willing to answer any questions to help with decision making. I'm majoring in Journalism/Communications and Web Design so I just want a system that can support what I will need to do.

Yes that is part of the budget. I was going to go with the 40gb but I don't think that would be enough for all the programs I need.

Windows 7 is the OS.

Thank you for the response. Do you think 4GB of RAM is enough for multitasking and multiple programs? I know it would cost me more if I got any more though.

^ The more the RAM the better with CS4 apps...If you could add another 4GB, then it would be good...
