cant decide between a 9800gt or a 4850,.. both r 99$ right now,. which would be best for gaming?.....

4850 is slightly faster. What are you full system specs and your monitor's resolution?

HD4850. Its way better than the 9800GT. But i think you may get it cheaper. I saw an $89 HD4850 somewhere!

The only way I'd be considering the 9800 is if I already had one and had an SLI mobo ready for a 2nd one. Otherwise, 4850 all the way.

I did think of one other scenario I'd want the 9800... if this was just a really short-term card while waiting for something new from Nvidia... in that case the 9800 would be a capable PhysX card if you're into that sort of thing.
