Hdd badsector

i've got problem with my HDD. I found badsector almost 4% on my hdd WDC green, i used hdd regenerator for recovery bad sector but it takes too long (24 hours more).


is there someway to recover bad sector more faster than hdd regenerator?

anyone know about WDC green warranty about bad sector?

If the drive is under warranty then you should contact Western Digital and see what is covered and if they will replace the drive. At the same time they can give you some help with trying to recover the bad sectors.

MHDD is a very good program for this, its fast and easy to use.
if you want to recondition the drive then use spinrite lvl 5. this will take upwards of a few days on large drives.

best bet is to get a new drive tho
