I have the ASRock H61M/U3S3 LGA 1155 with a radeon 6850 installed. As you see it would plug into the PCI-E slot at the top and would cover the PCI slot under it. I'm planning on getting a sound card that also uses the PCI slot which would make me use the final slot just under the GPU shroud. Will this cause an issue? The sound card would be just under the fan of my card so would it restrict air flow and possibly raise temps? or is the gap that would be left be sufficient enough for my GPU's fan?

That will be fine, the cards fan will pull air in from the sides just fine
