Sandisk error

My htc evo wont read my 16g sandisk how do i make it work?

I don't know if you can "make it work" but have you tried to remove it ? First you have to go into the settings and select saftly remove the sd card and then turn the phone off and remve the sd card and then put it back in and see if the phone sees it.
