Greate i buyed the uspiron 8200 with the ultrasharp lcd version (selled in euro under the name: Enanched Ultra XGA - BT ASD) , but how can i understand if realy they had shipped to me the notebook with this monitor?
The resolution is the same of the standard Ultra XGA, the driver are the standar windows XP default monitor, and i don't know an utils that can say to the user the lcd statistic without using the monitor drivers.
In conclusion i spend a lot of money to buy the best lcd, but i am nor 100% sure to have it.
Just got my Dell 8200 w/Ultrasharp. I took it to the office to compare the screens with the Dell Latitudes we have. You can see the difference when you look at the screen at an angle. With the Ultrasharp (UXGA+), you don't get the "washed out" look that you do with other screens when viewing from different horizontal and vertical angles. I could only see a minor difference in brightness and contrast, but I was indoors (flourescent lights). I bought the UXGA+ screen hoping I would have an easier time reading the screen outdoors or in a room with a lot of sunlight. Haven't tried that yet.
