Bios problem

my bios setup resets again and again though i have new lithium battery.........i have to press F1 each time i on my computer and also ist boot device changes to floopy from cd/dvd again again.....and also the time resets every time.....how can i solve the problem....

A new battery does not always mean a good battery. Check your battery's orientation, usually + side is up (not always). If that isn't the problem, I'd try another battery since your issues are almost always related to a bad CMOS battery

dead battery or maybe the battery isn't powering your board.

@ c12friedman - its mostly due to a corrupt bios chip or the battery
