8150fx Zambezi Overclocking Issue

Hello everyone,

I have currently clocked my proc stable at 4.4Ghz but cannot seem to get it past. Current settings at 4.4 are:
AMD 8150fx Zambezi
Asus Sabertooth 990fx

4414Ghz
Multip. 22
CPU Volt 1.30625

When I try to get it into the 4.5 range, I increase the multip by one step bringing it to 22.5. It boots into windows but causes freeze or BSOD, so I try voltage step increases, The settings I tried increased the voltage to 1.312500 and 1.318750. at 1.312 it still freezes or BSOD, at 1.318 after about 10 seconds or so at full load with linpack the system shuts off, complete power down requiring CMOS clear and reset.

What I am trying to figure out is, what is causing this? Could it be too much voltage? I am doubting this.. Anyone have any other idea's?

Thanks.

  1. I forgot to mention that the freezes or BSOD's are during linpack load only
