5770 OR 5850?Which one please help?

i want to buy a graphic card 5770 or 5850.

Which one is to choose.

5770 is half price then 5850.

i know 5850 is much faster then 5770.

But is 5770 worth to buy?

when will 5770 expire?

when will 5850 expire?

expire means no games playable on these card even on low settings?

what card is worth to buy?

If "playable at low settings" is acceptable, then both should last you at least a few years.

I played games @ 1920 x 1200 using my X1900XT in DX9 mode with at least medium quality until my card died. That includes Crysis and Fallout 3.

I'm not a hardcore gamer. I only play a few a games a year. So far the only game that is on my "Buy List" for this year is Fallout: New Vegas.

I'm still using my trusty old 9600gt since my monitor was 1280x1024, then 1680x1050 and now 1920x1080. It hasn't "expired" yet.

If you have the money, get the 5850.

Agree, if u have money then get 5850, u will survive for a long time with that card, i think...
Make sure u have enough power from your PSU.

else the 5770 will last you quite a while if you are the kinda guy who does not mind medium(ish) settings sooner than later and will save some $
Potentially allowing a more recent GFx upgrade sooner so you don't have to suffer being so close to your "expiry" date - especially if you gaming res is quite low
