Which is faster intel CORE i5 or intel QUAD 4

Hello,
Which do you think is faster and more benificial for todays world INTEL CORE i5 OR 2
QUAD. Which is more suitable for todays heavy work?

Core i7 Quad > Core i5 Quad > Core2Quad

Core2Quad >/~ Core i5 Dual

The core i5 is newer but there are different models of core i5 just like there are different models of core 2 quads so it depends on which models you are comparing.

Bluescreen is correct for the core 2 quads and core i5 quad cores. The core i5 is faster clock-per-clock and has turboboost to increase single threaded performance.

As for the core2quad vs similarly clocked core i5 dual core, it depends on what you are doing with it and if they can take advantage of multi-threading.

If we are talking about a higher clocked core i5 vs a slower clocked core 2 quad, it again depends on your uses and if they can take advantage of multi-threading.

I assume you are referring to core i5 750. It's a much better choice since the C2Qs are a bit outdated. Also the former overclocks formidably.
