Sounds like a PSU failure.
Can you please tell me how old is the Power Supply and what is the brand?

Hmm, i know that the RC is expiring very soon, and i believe reading that at a certain date very soon (or possible already) that is will restart your computer every 2 hours before they completely stop the RC from working. not sure if this has anything to do with your problem, but it might so i threw it out there.

ok so here's the thing i got a psu from a computer that keeps ruining power supply's to where
they just wont start it ,it's gone thru 3 psu's now, but i put them in other computers and they work fine

so i put one of these in my computer and it starts and stop's normal
no continuous spin up's , i hope it last's
o and i hooked the old one back up just to check and the fan's spin up even b4 i push the power button
