Need Help on the trouble shooting Asus x58 motherboard and I7-950

I just bought an asus x58 sabertooth with an i7 950. I assembled the pc and it booted fine. Then after several boots it stopped working. The post light show steady CPU and Dram LED. I am tried reseating the cpu and the dram to no avail. Is there a way to check each one besides plugging the cpu and the dram to another pc?

One possibility is to run Memtest86+; D/L ISO/zip and create a bootbable CD/DVD and run for at least 2 passes. http://www.memtest.org/
Meanwhile please post the DDR part-number and/or link.
Footnote: when it comes down to it, it is difficult to determine or R/O -> CPU, MOBO, or RAM in many situations without replacing 2 of the 3 items. The RAM may or may not be the reason for your issue, but for now it is a reasonable assumption.
