Phenom x6 VS i7

I know that AMD released the 1055T and 1090T hexacore CPUs, and that the 1090T is comparable to an overclocked i7 920. But what is the 1055T comparible to, an i7 860? Any resources are appreciated.

AMD 1090t beat all intel core i7 except 980x.1055t beat i7860 and 870 and 930 , 920.

To be fair alfred, that is a synthetic benchmark and most of them are unreliable as an indicator of true performance.

I wouldn't be surprised if intel pays out a few $$$'s to get that X6 1090T score lowered soon anyway.

I agree with you. I did some research about a week ago on the new AMD CPUs and found that a Phenom II 1090T is pretty much the same as an i7 930 performance wise. These stats are a gross overestimation compared to the more reliable average frame rate in gaming tests.
