4850 OC lower 3DMark 06 than Stock

Forum Graphics & Displays : AMD Radeon 4850 OC lower 3DMark 06 than Stock

Hey all,

I've been trying to OC this card, have done so now too. The GPU clock is now 690 and Memory 1103 Mhz. I have had no errors running my games (Cod4/mw2) but somehow my 3Dmark06 scores are lower than on my stock speeds. (OC: 12664 / Stock:12679). The difference isn't that big, but for that much of an OC you'd expect something in the 13K.

My Specs:

CPU: Q6600 @3Ghz
Mobo: Maximus II Formula
GPU: 4850
PSU: 750w Corsair

What do you guys think?

It's just a benchmarking program; it has no affect whatsoever. If it performs fine in-game, I'd just leave it.

"Site note: Try underclocking it. See if you can hit 15k with an HD4850!"
