Computer xp shuts down when LAN plugged in

My computer has started turning off whenever I plug in my LAN cable. The LAN cable was moved from a computer on-line to the problem computer so not the issue. I've replaced the motherboard (ASUS P4C800-e Deluxe), power supply, video card). This setup worked with XP Pro for years without a hiccup before this. Re-formated the RAID 0 Raptors...different KB/mouse.
No overheating (can occur when cold, heat sensors OK...)
I would truly appreciate the input.

  1. Check your Device Manager for Network adapter drivers.
Might have a badly installed device.
