When you say restart, is it a blue screen or just black screen and go through BIOS?

Have you checked voltages and temps ?

Have you checked Event Viewer or examined *.dmp files ?

Have you run Memtest+ from www.memtest.org ? (12 hours)

Have you run any torture tests ? If not d/l OCCT and run CPU, memory, PSU tests

Ok, now it gets worse... i just ran memtest for 2 hours, and no errors at all. so i ran a torture test, and my comp immediately restarted. which is odd, so i have removed one 2gb stick of ram, and now this torture test has been running for about 45 mins with no errors, was that stick of ram my problem? i know from previous experience that most odd problems stem from bad ram.
edit UPDATE: just got a bsod... going to try the other stick now.
