So upon receiving my 640GB Black Caviar WD harddrive, I noticed that it didn't come with SATA cables or anything else, except for the drive. I was wondering if I would have to purchase some SATA cables on my own, or if they would come with some other component (maybe my MB?). I haven't opened anything yet because I am not yet ready to build, and this is my first build!

Thanks.

I just finished doing the same thing as you.And yes, your new motherboard should come with a few extra sata cables, but depending on your build,it wouldnt hurt to purchase a few extra.
