Sandisk micro sd 2gb wont register

Hello,
i have a 2gb micro sd. i have tried numerous times to connect to my phone and desktop. both of which nothing happens. the computer doesnt recognize a card is there. i have old pics of my son and would love to see them again. anybody and everyone please help????!!!!!
