Best 4gb pair for my 2gb XMS Corsair

I'm upgrading my comp, I'm looking for best 2x2gb DDR2 800Mhz 4-4-4-12 to work with my Corsair 2x1GB XMS2 4-4-4-12. What's diffrent options than Corsair (can't get 2x2gb 4-4-4-12 cheaper than £110).. is there other option? I'd like them to work in overclocked env.

What do U think about:

Crucial 4GB (2X2GB) DDR2 800MHz/PC2-6400 Ballistix Memory CL4 2.0V,
GeIL 4GB (2x2048MB) PC2-6400 800Mhz C4 Black Dragon Dual Channel Kit - GB24GB6400C4DC,

are they going to be alright?

Intel Core 2 e6600

  1. Hi wreszcie and welcome to Tom's forum.

I used Crucial DDR2 and currently use Crucial DDR3 and are excellent. I recommend go with the Crucial for quality and performance.
  2. Thanks for reply,
are they going to work fine on 2.1V, as my nominal Corsair voltage?
  3. Try 1.8V I think that could works at that voltage.
  4. Now I'm thinking do I realy have to go for 6gb in total, maybe 4gb will be enough (it will be much cheaper), I'm hoping to play on it for next year or so, got good GPU (not best but still hd5750) is 4gb going to be enough if I overclocked it a bit ;)?
  5. 4GB is enough for now unless that u use many Adobe or Autocad applications at the same time. 4GB give u all the performance that u need for games and applications.
  6. I though it will, haven't done much on my comp recently, so I got a little bit behind with 'what's going on in here!' ;).

Used to work a lot with Oracle and Java and million other things... but not any more, so if 4gb of fun is enough, that's all what I need, thanks.
