Msi 785gm-e51 does not see new ram

i have 2 2gb ram in my system. i put in 1 4gb ram but windows does not show it on the system page. bios shows it all there .. what is up?

If you have a 32-bit version of Windows the max is 4 GB with ~ 3.5 GB usable. My next observation is that it is recommended to use pairs {Dual / Quad Channel}. My next assumption is that you installed incompatible <or> mix-matched RAM.

Please post both sets of RAM with part-number and/or link.
