How to overclock?

How do you overclock cpu's?

i have an i5 3570k and 212 evo cooler.
also my motherboard is asrock z77 extreme 4

There is SO much involved with overclocking that a single post wouldn't even begin to explain the methodology. I'm going to suggest googling and reading then googling some more and reading even more. There is SO much involved in overclocking, especially an ivy bridge processor. One thing I'm going to tell you for sure though is make sure you learn and be precise with settings. One slip of a voltage setting can easily send your CPU into oblivion.
