I've recently decided to change my mobo to MSI 880GMA-E45. I am planning to install 2x2 Kingston DDR3 CL9 @1333Mhz. I was wondering do I need to take care of the voltages as well (are multiple voltage versions of RAM even available?). If yes what should be the ideal RAM voltages so as not to cause BSOD; 1.8V or 1.5V. My current(read: old) Kingston 1GB DDR2 333Mhz Ram is @ 1.8V on an Intel 946GZIS (now disconnected)

Thanks,
Nisheeth

Hello, the max spec for DDR3 RAM is 1.65V. So any voltage at or under this is fine.

RAM comes in many voltages, most common are 1.5v and 1.6v. Though there is low voltage RAM which runs at around 1.3v but this is basically a waste of money.

Hope that helps.
