Monitor not displaying when connected to video card.

I uninstalled my old integrated 7100 and connected my 9600 GT. The problem is when i connect my monitor to the video card, the monitor doesn't display anything. The monitor though displays fine when connected to the motherboard. My monitor and card didnt do this a week ago before i did a factory restore.

What can be the cause to this? Maybe the cards not totally inserted or the adapter to connect the monitor to the card maybe be broken?(I tried two adapters which came with the card)

Best solution

okay i did that and then right after i plugged the monitor onto the video card and its still not displaying. The only difference is that windows says it has downloaded the vga adapter software or something like that. Am i doing something wrong?
