Gigabyte 9800 GT Display Issue

Hi, I'm not 100% sure if this is a GPU issue, but it seems the most likely. I've just set up a new system, these are the specs:

MB: GA-P55-UD3
GPU: Gigabyte 9800 GT (GV-N98TSL-1GI)
CPU:Intel i5-750
RAM: 4(2x2)GB Kingston DDR3 1333
PSU: Antec TP-660W

Everything seems to be starting up, and I've double checked all the connections, but I'm simply not getting a picture. I've hooked it up to an old VGA CRT (The only monitor I have on-hand ATM), which worked with the previous machine it was connected to, I'm not sure if this could be a problem with newer graphics cards or not.

Does anyone know how I can determine what the problem is here?

  1. Change the DVI > VGA adapter for another one? Have you tried both ports from a cold boot?
