Hello,have just set up new system
Asus P7P55D E PRO I7 860 CPU 4 gigs DDR3 1600 corsair ram 850watt power supply Gigabyte 9800GTX+ graphics and 2 x veloca raptor hard drives.
When i install windows 7 Professional 64bit installation stops before completion boot up, pre tests by motherboard are fine but cannot get past windows log on screen comes up with windows then screen goes black system harddrive stops working screen flickers then stops system not rebooting just stopping

Check your BIOS.

have updated bios to latest but still have same problem is there any settings in bios that i should look at

Does the BIOS recognize the HDD and DVD/CDROM drives?

yes recognizes all HDD and DVD rom

Returned motherboard and got replacement and have managed to install windows 7 still had problem with installation but it then decided to work same motherboard as before still squeals when overclocked which is annoying

Simple fix for that. Don't overclock it.
