Can a 4890 VRM be replaced.

I finally got fed up with the noise from my Asus EAH4890 and purchased a new Heatsink for it but unfortunately during installation I cracked the topmost VRM rendering the card useless.

I can't see any other damage to the card and would expect that if this component was able to be replaced the card would be fine.

Is this a viable repair or impossible / not economic.

Nope unless you got a replacement part and a reflow oven to solder on the new one.
